The Czech based automaker Skoda has been recently spotted while testing a new version of the Rapid, the Spaceback, on public roads and with no camouflage on its body.
Skoda is known to develop the Rapid Spaceback and the model has already been caught on camera by spy photographers over these past few weeks, but the most recent spy shots are coming from close to the company’s headquarters, in the Czech Republic. If it doesn’t wear any camouflage on its body, that doesn’t mean that the carmaker wasn’t trying to hide it. Sadly for them, our spy photographers weren’t fooled by the Fabia badge on its body.
The Skoda Rapid Spaceback is rumored to hit the production line this August and it should go on sale in the autumn. However, its public debut will be made in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Skoda Rapid Spaceback is expected to get the same engine lineup and equipment levels as the regular version of the Rapid. Volkswagen will also produce a Spaceback version of the new Seat Toledo. Additional details on the Skoda Rapid Spaceback are limited for the moment and will be announced in Frankfurt.
