The 2014 SRT Viper Grand Touring will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit, which has received some pretty interesting updates.
SRT’s newest creation is known as the 2014 Viper Grand Touring and the model in question will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The 2014 SRT Viper GT has been designed to bridge the gap between the entry-level Viper and the GTS model and so its pricing will be set at between the cost of these two versions.
“We’re continuing to develop and build unique, low-volume, special-edition colors for the Viper that adds to the exclusivity of our American-built flagship supercar. The application of the new Stryker Green exterior paint is a very detailed and intricate process, taking approximately eight hours to complete. The process first starts with a base color coat followed by a green-tinted mid-coat and topped off with a clear finish”, said Ralph Gilles, the SRT Brand and Motorsports president and CEO.
The model in question is getting a new five-mode electronic stability control with Rain and Full-off settings, along with an electrically adjustable Bilstein DamTronic select suspension. Leather seats are also coming in standard form, on this version. Just like the standard sports car, the new SRT Viper GT is powered by an 8.4 liter V10 engine, which is good for 640 BHP. The 0 to 60 mph sprint takes 4.0 seconds and top speed stands at 206 mph. More details on the model will be announced in Detroit.
