The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently announced the official price list for the 2014 Forester in the United States, which can be bought now from 21,995 USD.
According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the 2014 Subaru Forester will get the 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which is producing a total output of 170 HP (127 kW) and it has a peak torque of 235 Nm (174 lb-ft). This version will be named the 2.5i and it will get AWD as standard. The model will return 24 / 32 mpg in city / highway with the CVT and 22 / 29 mpg in city / highway when equipped with the manual transmission.
Subaru says that the engine mentioned above can be ordered by future customers in Premium, Limited and in Touring trim levels, but if you are into a more powerful version than you should know that the 2.0 liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine is also available for the model, but only on the Premium and on the Touring trim levels. This variant is getting the CVT and it’s providing 250 HP (186 kW) and 349 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft), while returning 23 / 28 mpg in city / highway. The cheapest 2014 Subaru Forester is priced at 21,995 USD, without the 825 USD destination charge, while the beefier 2.0 turbo is coming at 27,995 USD.
