The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently updated the Outback for the 2014 model year, which is slightly modifying the model and adding a new powertrain option.
The Subaru Outback has been firstly introduced on the Old Continent back in 1996 and now, 17 years later, the carmaker has upgraded it once again. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Subaru Outback has received two new liveries, the Dark Grey Metallic and the Deep Sea Blue Pearl, along with body colored versions for the black plastic cladding. The model in question is also riding on a new set of 17-inch gunmetal alloy wheels.
Changes applied to the 2014 Subaru Outback aren’t stopping here and the vehicle is also getting a new powertrain. This comes to life under the hood of the upgraded Outback as the 2.0 liter Boxer diesel unit, mated to the Lineartronic CVT, for the first time. The fuel economy figure with this new engine stands at 44.8 mpg UK and the CO2 emissions stop at 166 g/km. Prices for the 2014 Subaru Outback, equipped with the 2.0 liter boxer engine, start at 29,995 GBP in the United Kingdom, but they can go up to 31,495 GBP with the Lineartronic transmission.
