New renderings with the brand new Toyota Corolla, in its hatchback variant, have recently hit the web, and they might provide us with a first look into a final production version of the model.
The 2014 Toyota Corolla hatchback definitely looks way better than the Auris but that doesn’t mean that the model will hit the market, as the Japanese based automaker didn’t announce its plans to develop such a vehicle. However, don’t act too surprised if you will see a hatchback version of the new Corolla generation in a couple of years, in a company’s showroom, because there is definitely a market for the model.
As a quick reminder, the 2014 Toyota Corolla, in its U.S. spec, is powered by a 1.8 liter engine, which is good for 132 HP (98 kW), while the LE Eco is coming with a 1.8 liter 140 HP (104 kW) unit. The new Corolla generation is 4,639 mm long (182.6 inches), 1,776 mm wide (69.9 inches) and 1,455 mm tall (57.3 inches), being actually 99 mm (3.90 inches) longer than before, 16 mm wider (0.63 inches) and 10 mm lower (0.39 inches). Its pricing details remain unknown for the moment.
