Toyota has released a new teaser image with the 2014 Highlander, ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show, later on this month.
After we have seen the 2014 Toyota Highlander in several teaser over these past few weeks, a new teaser image is placing the model into the spotlights once again. The photo posted above is showing the newly designed right headlight, along with a part of the grille, front bumper, front fender and hood. We can also see some plastic body cladding around the wheels which will probably give the model a more rugged look.
The 2014 Toyota Highlander is expected to be powered by the same 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine from the Camry, which is good for 178 HP (133 kW) and 230 Nm of torque (170 lb-ft), along with a 268 HP (200 kW) and 336 Nm of torque (248 lb-ft) 3.5 liter V6 engine. A hybrid version might also be in the books, which might get the 2.5L with 156 HP (116 kW) and a 141 HP (105 kW) electric motor. Additional details on the 2014 Toyota Highlander will be announced on the 27th of March, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
