The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced its plans to introduce the 2014 Highlander later on this month, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
Good news for all the soccer moms out there who are looking for a new ride, because Toyota is currently working on the updated Highlander. The model is almost ready for its future customers and it will be officially presented to the public, for the first time, during the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 26th of March. The announcement has been made by the carmaker, which didn’t release any more interesting details on the model.
Rumors are saying that the 2014 Toyota Highlander will get an evolutionary design and it might borrow some styling cues from the RAV4, but this is yet to be confirmed. The engine lineup in the 2014 Highlander might include a 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit with 178 BHP (133 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque, a 3.5 liter V6 with 268 BHP (200 kW) and 336 Nm (248 lb-ft), and probably a hybrid version, which might use a 2.5L four-cylinder 156 HP (116 kW) internal combustion engine, along with a 141 HP (105 kW) electric motor. Additional details on the 2014 Toyota Highlander will be announced in New York, later on this month.
