Toyota has updated the RAV4 for the 2014 model year as the model has received some new safety technology and a different price list.
The cheapest version of the 2014 Toyota RAV4 in Australia stars at 28, 690 AUD, 200 AUD more than the previous model, and it’s coming, in the RAV4 GX version, with a 6.1-inch audio display system and a 2.0 liter petrol engine, with 107 kW and 187 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission or, for an extra 2,500 AUD, to a CVT (continuously variable transmission). Prices for the GXL trim level have been set at 32,690 AUD and it’s basically the same as before.
The flagship variant costs 47,290 AUD and it’s the first Toyota vehicle to get Lane Departure Alert and Reverse Cross Traffic Alert in Australia. Power is being provided by a 2.5 liter petrol engine, with 132 kW and 233 Nm of torque, but if the 2.2 liter turbo diesel is what you’re looking for, than get ready to pay 50,790 AUD, for the 110 kW and 340 Nm of torque, with an automatic transmission. This is actually 1,800 AUD more expensive than the previous Toyota RAV4 model year.
