The German based automaker Volkswagen is planning to develop a new version of the Golf, which will probably be named the CC, and will be highlighted by its four doors and its coupe-like roof line.
Even if there is no official word on the Volkswagen Golf CC just yet, the guys at autobild.de have managed to put the model into the spotlights by releasing a render image, which might actually preview a future VW model. According to our source, the Volkswagen Golf CC will go against models like the BMW 1-Series GT, the Audi A3 sport sedan or the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLC, but until the four-door Golf will hit the market in 2014, the model might have some serious competition from other automakers.
As you can see from the image posted above, the Volkswagen Golf CC has a lot of things in common with the Passat CC, except for the front fascia, which even if it’s similar to other models within the company, will most likely be adopted on the seventh generation of the Golf hatchback. Just like its three and five-door brothers, the VW Golf CC is expected to get features like the climate control, the large gauges, infotainment system, a center display, internet access and radio, but more details on this will be offered sometimes over the next couple of years.
