Acura has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the 2015 ILX, as the model in question is available for order starting today in the United States.
Those of you looking for a new ride in the segment, who are living in the United States, will be glad to find out that the 2015 Acura ILX is now available for order in the country. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question is getting a Modern Steel Metallic exterior, which is replacing the previous Polished Metal Metallic paint finish. The exterior design is not mentioned any more so our guess is that changes will stop here in this chapter.
One of the biggest changes can be seen under its hood, where the car manufacturer has dropped the hybrid version which came with a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, along with the 144 volt lithium-ion battery. Thanks to this combination, the total output stood at 111 HP (82 kW) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque. The entry-level ILX is now getting a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 150 HP (112 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque. Prices for the model start at 27,050 USD, without the 895 USD destination charge.
