Our spy photographers have managed to catch the new generation of the BMW X6 on camera once again, as the model is being tested on the Nurburgring.
The Nurburgring has become a Mecca for automakers when developing new vehicles and trying to attempt lap records but rather than flex its muscles on the track, the model in question is actually getting ready for its future customers. We’re talking about the new generation of the BMW X6, which is believed to make its way onto the market sometimes next year. The popular SAV will come with some significant upgrades, which should make owners of the outgoing version jealous.
The 2015 BMW X6 will still be based on the X5, but it will be based on the new generation of the X5 and this means a new architecture, a new design and new technologies. The images posted below are showing us the large grille elements connected to the headlights, the daytime running lights and the obvious sloped roof, which is X6’s signature in the segment. A wide range of engines will be offered for the model, as well as a plug-in hybrid. More details on the new X6 generation will be announced close to its launch.
