The future generation of the BMW X6 has been recently rendered and the image posted above might provide us with a first look into the final production version of the model.
With the new generation of the BMW X5 being already unveiled, just a couple of weeks ago, the future BMW X6 should be even closer to its future customers, considering the fact that it’s based on the popular SUV. The next-gen BMW X6 is expected to be larger and lighter than the outgoing version and the vehicle is expected to burn less fuel and to emit lower CO2 thanks to some important upgrades.
The 2015 BMW X6 will be based on the same platform as the new X6 but the model will be quite different than its brother. For starters, the new X6 will be bigger and it will have a more aggressive detailing, as BMW is planning to put some distance between the two vehicles. The 2015 BMW X6 will also be longer and this will be translated into additional rear legroom. Besides the six-cylinder petrol, six-cylinder diesel and V8 units, a petrol-electric plug-in hybrid is expected to make its way under the hood of the new X6. Additional details on the 2015 BMW X6 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut, sometimes next year.
