Our spy photographers have managed to catch the new BMW X6 generation on camera while it was being tested in cold weather.
After telling you about the new BMW 7-Series generation, which has been caught playing in the snow recently, time has come to talk about the replacement for the outgoing X6. The model in question has been spotted while it was being tested in cold weather and its light camouflage, added to its body, is allowing us to see that not much has changed in terms of design, but then again, we were expecting that, considering the fact that the new X5 generation doesn’t have a dramatic look compared to the previous one.
The 2015 BMW X6 is believed to ride on the same platform as the new X5 generation and to basically be identical, except for the sloping roofline and some other tweaks. The engine lineup will also be shared with the 2014 BMW X5 and this will include the xDrive50i’s 4.4 liter twin turbo V8, with 450 HP (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, the xDrive30d with 258 HP (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque from the 3.0L diesel unit and even the X6 M50d, which should get a 3.0L tri-turbocharged six-cylinder diesel option, generating 318 HP (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque.
