The updated version of the BMW X6 has been recently spied while it was being tested out on a public road, with some mild camouflage covering its body.
With the new BMW X5 generation already out, for a few months now, and with Mercedes-Benz working on its own rival for the X6, the Bavarian based automaker has been caught on camera, by our spy photographers, while testing out an updated version of the sporty SAV. The 2015 BMW X6 will be riding on the E70 architecture and it will look instantly recognizable, following the footsteps of its predecessor with the dynamic roofline which is resembling a coupe.
The front and rear fascias of the model have been camouflaged but we can see the familiar bumper with the large air intakes, the twin kidney grille which is flanked by the angel eye headlights, while the rear end has L-shaped taillights, an upright tailgate and a dual exhaust system. The engine lineup from the new BMW X6 will be carried over from the X5 and it will include the 3.0L petrol with 306 HP, the 4.4L V8 with 450 HP, the 6-cylinder diesel with 258 HP and the tri-turbo 3.0L diesel with 381 HP.
