Chevrolet has announced a significant discount for the 2015 Camaro Z/28 which is based on the fifth generation of the muscle car.
With the new generation of the Chevrolet Camaro being officially unveiled just last week, the North American based automaker is now announcing a significant price drop for the Camaro Z/28, which is based on the previous version. According to GMAuthority, the model in question has received a 2,000 USD discount and it is now available from 70,305 USD. The leftover 2014 Camaro Z/28 units are also getting a price cut of up to 4,000 USD and this is lowering their cost to 68,305 USD. The current generation of the Camaro will remain in production until the 20th of November, when the last unit will roll off the assembly line at the Oshawa facility, in Ontario, Canada.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has been introduced just a week ago and it is coming, for the first time in its history, with a four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with 2.0 liters in displacement and 275 HP (205 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, in order to rival the Ford Mustang EcoBoost, which also has a four-cylinder unit under its hood. The 3.6 liter V6 engine is next in the lineup and this is producing 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission or the optional 8-speed automatic, while the range-topping Camaro SS has an 8-speed automatic and the 6.2 liter V8 unit with 455 HP (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque.
