Chevrolet has released new details on the 2015 Corvette Z06, which is the most powerful road-going car ever produced by General Motors.
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it has been officially unveiled during the 2014 North American International Auto Show, back in January, this time with the North American based automaker releasing some new details on it.
“The all-new 2015 Corvette Z06 is the most powerful production car ever from General Motors and one of a few production cars available in the United States that delivers more than 600 horsepower”, says GM in its official press release.
The sports car is being powered by a 6.2 liter V8 LT4 supercharged engine, which is producing a total output of 650 HP (485 kW), at 6,400 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 881 Nm (650 lb-ft), available at 3,600 rpm. 96 percent of the torque is coming from just 2,800 rpm. Chevy is hinting that the Corvette Z06 would be the bargain of the century but we bet that it’s only a matter of months until GM will announce a recall which will affect this sports car too.
