Chevrolet has begun delivering the 2015 Corvette Z06 as cars are being transported from Kentucky, in the Bowling Green Assembly, to dealers and some early customers.
After being officially introduced earlier this year, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the car manufacturer announcing the deliveries start of the model. The vehicles are being transported from Bowling Green Assembly, in Kentucky, to some early customers who had to pay at least the 78,995 USD starting price in the coupe or 83,995 USD in the convertible, and to dealers.
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is taking its power, in both body styles, from the same 6.2 liter V8 supercharged engine. This is capable of producing no less than 650 HP (485 kW) and 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 7-speed manual or to an optional 8-speed automatic transmission. From 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h), the sports car can accelerate in just 2.95 seconds with the automatic or in 3.2 seconds with the manual gearbox. The quarter mile is made in 11.2 seconds in the manual and 10.95 seconds in the automatic and both versions will reach 127 mph (204 km/h) at the end.
