General Motors has officially announced the official starting price for the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, which will become available from 20,995 USD, on its local auto market, once it will go on sale. According to the North American based automaker, the Trax will become the most affordable crossover, being 3,525 USD less than the Equinox.
“Trax is positioned to be a strong competitor in the emerging small-SUV market, which is expected to grow more than 80 percent in the next few years”, said the Chevy director of car marketing, Steve Majoros.
The 2015 Chevrolet Trax will be coming, in the entry-level version, with features such as the 60/40 split folding rear seats, the rearview camera, the MyLink infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen display, the remote keyless entry and several other tweaks to make it appealing in the eyes of its future customers. As far as the engine goes, the 2015 Trax will be powered by a 1.4 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is capable of producing no less than 138 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 6-speed automatic and it can be paired to the AWD system for an extra 1,500 USD.
