The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been officially unveiled by the North American based automaker.
The model in question has been based on the facelifted version of the Challenger and it has received some pretty interesting items, such as the restyled headlights, the duck-bill front splitter, the power-bulge hood, the LED taillights and some other tweaks. The muscle car is also coming with a large front splitter, a bigger rear spoiler, 20-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels finished in matte black and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, Brembo braking system and some other tweaks, which will definitely help it stand out from a crowd.
The cabin of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is coming nicely equipped with the Alcantara and Nappa leather upholstery, with the heated and ventilated front seats, the flat bottomed steering wheel, the retro inspired gauges, the Dark Engine Turn aluminum trim, the 8.4-inch display for the Uconnect infotainment system and much more. Dodge says that the Challenger SRT Hellcat is also getting the “Drive Modes” system which can adjust the horsepower output, the suspension, steering and traction. Sport and Track modes are being offered, along with a programmable Custom setting, which can be accessed through the infotainment system.
Power to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is being providing by a supercharged 6.2 liter HEMI V8 engine, which is producing more than 600 HP (447 kW) and it can be connected to a six-speed manual transmission or to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The regular 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT has a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine under its hood, which is rated at “just” 485 HP (361 kW) and 643 Nm (475 lb-ft) of torque, 15 HP (11 kW) and 6 Nm (5 lb-ft) more than before. No pricing details have been announced yet.
