Mazda has released some new details on the Euro-spec 2015 Mazda2, which will be officially introduced in early 2015.
According to the car manufacturer, the engine lineup in the updated vehicle will be including the 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G petrol burner, which will be offered in the entry-level, producing 75 HP (55 kW) and 125 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 5-speed manual transmission. This will be burning an average of 4.7 liters of fuel every 100 km (60.1 mpg UK / 50 mpg US) and it will be emitting 110 g/km of CO2.
The 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G petrol, with its 90 HP (66 kW) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque is also available, with its 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle is burning 4.5L / 100km of fuel (62.7 mpg UK / 52.2 mpg US) in the manual version, while the one equipped with the automatic is averaging 4.8 liters / 100 km (58.8 mpg UK / 49 mpg US). The 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G with i-ELOOP is rated at 115 HP (85 kW) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft), connected to a 6-speed manual. Diesel lovers will be able to order the 1.5L SKYACTIV-D with its 105 HP (77 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. This is returning 3.4L/100km (83 mpg UK / 69.1 mpg US) when equipped with the manual.
