The 2015 version of the Ferrari California is said to drop the current naturally aspirated engine in return for a completely new one.
Spy photographers have already managed to catch the 2015 Ferrari California on camera while it was being tested so the development of the drop-top’s new version is no longer a surprise anymore. Some say that the 2015 Ferrari California will be a simple facelift, others that it will be actually a replacement for the model, but whatever this will turn out to be, one thing is for sure, it will definitely be appreciated by the company’s fans.
According to a recent report, the 2015 Ferrari California is said to drop the 4.3 liter V8 naturally aspirated unit, which is good for 490 HP (360 kW) and 505 Nm of torque (372 lb-ft), which is allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62m ph) in 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). Instead, the upgraded vehicle will received a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8, related to the one used on the new Maserati Quattroporte, which is good for 530 HP (390 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque, in the four-door car. No specifications are being known for the moment. The 2015 Ferrari California is said to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, next year.
