The cheapest version of the 2015 Ford Edge will become available to its future customers from 28, 995 USD, including the 895 USD destination charge. This has been confirmed by the company’s spokesman, William Mattiace, who has recently spoken to the guys from Edmunds. The model in question is basically identical in its price tag to the current 2014 model year and it will be arriving in the company’s dealerships in the first quarter of 2015.
The 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine will be offered as a standard unit, across North America. This is capable of producing a total output of 245 HP (183 kW) and 357 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque, while the Sport version will be coming with a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6, producing more than 300 HP (224 kW). Ford will also be offering a 3.5 liter naturally aspirated V6 unit, in the near future. All engines will be coming with a 6-speed automatic transmission, with SelectShift manual mode. The 2.0L will be FWD and the 2.7L and 3.5L will have an optional AWD.
