The North American based automaker Ford has unveiled by mistake the new generation of the Edge crossover, during an official presentation.
With the brand new 2013 Ford Fusion being unveiled a few months ago and already available to order across the United States, the upcoming 2015 Ford Edge couldn’t be that far away and the carmaker has proved this by unveiling the crossover by mistake. The 2015 Ford Edge pictured above was accidentally revealed during a presentation for analysts at the Deutsche Bank. The model is expected to make its way onto the market next year and it will be based on the outgoing Ford Fusion.
The 2015 Ford Edge will share most of the powertrain options with the popular 2013 Ford Fusion, and this means that the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit will be found on the crossover, along with the smaller 1.6 liter, the 2.5 liter, the hybrid or the plug-in hybrid versions. Don’t act surprised if you will also see a 3.5 liter or a 3.7 liter V6 as an engine option. Additional details on the upcoming 2015 Ford Fusion are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
