The 2015 Ford Everest has been officially unveiled as the model in question will go on sale next year.
After it has been teased just last week, the 2015 Ford Everest is now being placed into the spotlights once more, this time with the company pulling the wraps off its body. The model in question is based on the Ranger and it has some similar styling, but in the cabin we can notice a more premium look. Some of the features found on the model include the aluminum front and rear underbody protection, the LED daytime running lights, the large chrome hexagonal front grille and so on.
The 2015 Ford Everest has a 225 mm ground clearance and an 800 mm water wading capability, along with a towing capacity of 3,000 kg. The cargo payload is said to be a best-in-class with 750 kg an 100 kg roof payload. The cabin of the model has seven seats and more 30 stowage spaces with a combined 48 liters. The second and third row of seats can be folded down so the cargo capacity will reach a total of 2,010 liters.
The equipment level of the new Everest includes the 240-volt socket for the second row of seats, the two USB ports, the 12-volt outlets in the front and second rows and the trunk, the SYNC2 infotainment system with the 8-inch touch screen display, the Lane Departure Warning, Hill Start Assist, Hill Ascent and Descent and Curve Control, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information, Adaptive Cruise Control, ESP< Roll Stability Control and several other tweaks.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2015 Ford Everest will be offered with the 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder unit, along with the 2.2 liter Duratorq TDCi diesel and the 3.2 liter Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel. Depending on the selected version, the transmission can be either a 6-speed automatic or a manual. The Ford Everest will go on sale next year in Australia, New Zealand, China, India, South Africa and some other markets in the ASEAN region.
