Ford has released the third teaser image with the 2015 Falcon which is bringing the performance badge XR8 into the spotlights, for the first time.
Another day goes by and another teaser image with the updated 2015 Ford Falcon emerges. The model in question is now bringing into focus the XR8 performance badge and it is the third image released by the company, after showing us the taillight and the headlight. The model in question will be the last Falcon to be developed in Australia as the North American based automaker will be shutting down its production facilities in the region by the end of October, 2016.
The 2015 Ford Falcon will actually be redesigned version of the model rather than being a completely new one and judging by the teaser images released before, we can say that it will be coming with some influences from the Mondeo / Fusion. As far as the engine lineup goes, we expect to see the 2.0 liter EcoBoost, with its four cylinders, the 4.0 liter six-cylinder inline and the top of the line 5.0 liter supercharged V8. The model in question is said to be officially unveiled in a few weeks and to go on sale in November.
