Ford has announced the production start of the 2015 Mondeo Hybrid. The model in question has hit the assembly line in Valencia, Spain. The vehicle will be arriving at a dealership near you, on the Old Continent, in early 2015, and it will be priced similarly to the 2015 Mondeo 1.5 EcoBoost Titanium Powershift in Sportbreak guise. On top of that, the most important feature of the car is found under its hood. We are talking about the 2-liter petrol burner, which is producing a total of 140 HP (103 kW) and it has a peak torque of 173 Nm (127 lb-ft). This is backed up by an electric motor, providing an extra 46 HP (34 kW). The electric motor is fed by the 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The total output stands at 186 HP (137 kW). The vehicle is burning 4.2L / 100km (67.3 mpg UK / 56 mpg US) but it can reach 2.8L / 100 km (100.9 mpg UK / 84 mpg US).
