Ford has recently announced its plans to introduce the new generation of the Mustang in Australia, where the muscle car will arrive in 2015.
The announcement has been made by the company’s executive vice president of Global Marketing, Sales and Service, Jim Farley, who also said that the new muscle car’s generation will also become available for order in New Zealand too. The model in question will be factory-made right-hand drive and it should be more affordable than the conversions, as it is expected to cost 85,000 AUD for the Coupe and 89,000 AUD for the Convertible.
The brand new 2015 Ford Mustang will get a prominent front grille, slender headlights, different door mirror housings, higher quality materials in the cabin, metallic accents, upgraded technology, three-spoke steering wheel and some other tweaks. The engine lineup in the new generation of the muscle car will include the 5.0 liter V8 unit, which will produce a total output of 450 HP (335 kW). For the first time in history, the 2015 Ford Mustang will also get a smaller 2.3 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost, which will be good for 360 HP (261 kW). Additional details on the new Ford Mustang generation are limited for the moment.
