The new generation of the Ford Mustang, in its convertible body style, has been officially unveiled by the North American based automaker.
After officially pulling the wraps off the new Ford Mustang generation just a day ago, the company has recently unveiled the new Mustang Convertible too. The model in question is looking virtually identical to the coupe and it has the new multilayer cloth top which is offering a more upscale appearance. The top has received additional insulation which means a quieter ride and less noise going in the cabin. According to the car manufacturer, the top can be lowered twice as fast as before.
The 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible is coming with a choice of three engines, just like its coupe brother. The cheapest variant will be the 3.7 liter V6 entry-level unit, with its 300 HP (223 kW) and 365 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque, being followed by the mid-range 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which will get more than 305 HP (227 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque. The top of the line version of the new Ford Mustang Convertible will receive a 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque, from a 5.0 liter V8. No pricing details have been announced yet.
