The first details on the gas mileage of the new generation Ford Mustang have recently hit the web and they a placing the model into a whole new light.
The 2015 Ford Mustang is one controversial vehicle with the addition of a four-cylinder engine under its hood, for the first time in history, the 2.3 liter EcoBoost. The fuel economy figures for this version will be EPA rated at 26 mpg combined, which means 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission, which gas mileage figures for the six-speed automatic haven’t been released yet.
The entry-level version of the new Mustang generation, which is equipped with the 3.7 liter V6 engine, will be achieving 21 mpg combined, 17 mpg city and 28 mpg highway when fitted with the manual transmission and when equipped with the automatic this will stand at 22 mpg combined, 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Unfortunately the gas mileage of the top of the line Mustang GT, which is equipped with the 5.0 liter V8 engine, rated at 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque, hasn’t been announced yet.
