The North American based carmaker Ford has recently announced some performance specifications for the 2015 Mustang, which will go on sale later on this year.
According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the Ford Mustang, in the 2015 model year, is taking its power from a 3.7 liter V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 300 HP (223 kW) and it has a peak torque of 379 Nm (280 lb-ft). This basically means that the model in question is actually less powerful than the 2014 V6 Mustang.
If you have heard on the new four-cylinder engine found under the hood of the 2015 Ford Mustang, you should know that this is offered in the mid-range version and it is coming as a 2.3 liter EcoBoost. The unit is more powerful than the entry-level V6, coming in at 310 HP (231 kW) and 433 Nm (320 lb-ft) of torque. The top of the line version of the 2015 Ford Mustang is the GT, which is taking its power from a 5.0 liter V8 unit. This is rated at 435 HP (324 kW) and 541 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque, making it more powerful than the Challenger R/T or the Camaro SS. Prices for the 2015 Ford Mustang will start from 24,425 USD.
