The facelifted version of the Lancia Ypsilon has been officially introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Following an online preview of the car, the 2016 Lancia Ypsilon has just made its public debut at the German automotive event. The vehicle in question is now bringing a new front bumper, larger fog lights, an updated front grille, a body-colored insert in the lower area of the rear bumper and some fresh colors, including the Blu di Blu and the Chic Ivory, joining the existing lineup.
The cabin of the car hasn’t been left unchanged either as there is now a 5-inch touch screen for the Uconnect infotainment system. This is offering support for DAB digital radio, voice recognition and Bluetooth, amongst others. The instrument panels have been modified as well, along with the gear knob and the central tunnel. Other changes include the additional upholstery options, the new glove boxes, the new floor mats and the two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.
The 2016 Lancia Ypsilon is said to be offered with a 1.2 liter engine producing 69 HP (50 kW), with a 0.9 liter TwinAir Turbo with 85 HP (62 kW), a 1.3 liter MutliJet with 95 HP (69 kW), a 1.2 liter LPG / Petrol with 69 HP (50 kW) and a 0.9 liter TwinAir Turbo methane / gasoline producing 80 HP (58 kW). All engines are meeting the Euro 6 emission standards and they are offered with a manual or a semi-automatic transmission. The updated Lancia Ypsilon will be offered for sale this month.
