The new Renault Megane generation has made its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Renault has presented its most important model of the year, the Megane, in its new generation. After being previewed just a few days ago, the new compact car is making its public debut as we speak at the German automotive event. The model is sharing the space with its larger brother, the Talisman, which is also debuting at the event.
The 2016 Renault Megane is bringing a completely modified body, with a prominent grille, sweptback headlights with integrated LED DRLs, a muscular profile, LED taillights with 3D graphics and a design which is making it look similar to the Clio than to the previous generation. The vehicle is also lower, wider and bringing a longer wheelbase and it has the full color head-up display, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster display, the 8.7-inch touch screen R-Link 2 as an alternative and much more.
At the time of its launch, the new Renault Megane generation is adding the three dCi diesel units under its hood, the 90 HP (66 kW), the 110 HP (81 kW) and the 130 HP (96 kW), along with three TCe petrol burners, producing 100 HP (74 kW), 130 HP (96 kW) and 205 HP (151 kW). The EDC dual-clutch automatic is said to be offered with the dCi 110, in the six-speed version, and with the TCe 130 and TCe 205, in the seven-speed variant. European sales of the car will begin in early 2016.
