The Artega Scalo sports car has made its public debut recently at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
In case you have been missing Artega, don’t worry, because the company is currently on display, with a new Scalo sports car, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question has been described as a successor of the Artega GT and it is bringing a carbon composite body, a carbon fiber front spoiler, active aerodynamic canards, revised air intakes, an active rear spoiler and a fresh set of 20-inch forged wheels.
Besides these, the model is looking basically identical to the GT. The interior design of the sports car has received the 13-speaker audio system, an infotainment system, am multi-function steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless smartphone charger and a system producing fake engine noises both inside and outside.
Artega says that the new Scalo has two rear-mounted Voltabox electric motors, taking their juice from the 37 kWh lithium-ion battery. The total output put together stands at 402 HP (300 kW) and 778 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. The 1,585 kg weighing vehicle needs 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can to up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The Artega Scalo can travel up to 402 km (250 miles) on a single charge and recharging its batteries takes approximately 10 hours with a household outlet.
