The world’s most powerful SUV and the first one developed by Bentley, the Bentayga, has made its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The brand new Bentley Bentayga has went from being a concept (EXP 9 F) a few years back to several prototypes spied and now, after various reports on it, and an online unveil a week back, the model is being debuted at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. In terms of styling it has a lot of similarities to other vehicles made by the company, especially in its front fascia.
The cabin is extremely luxurious and it is adding features such as the 10.2-inch tablets for the rear entertainment system, the 1950-watt Naim Bentley Premium Audi System, individual rear seats and a lot of extra goodies which should keep its future wealthy customers satisfied. Under its hood, the 6.0 liter TSI W12 engine will be found, on the range-topping version, which will be producing as much as 608 HP (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque.
Rumor has it that Bentley will also introduce a diesel unit as well, in the shape of a V8, along with a plug-in hybrid variant, which should be added to the range in a couple of years. The Bentley Bentayga is making use of the same platform as the new generation of the Audi Q7 and it can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just a little over 4 seconds, with a top speed of 301 km/h (187 mph). The average fuel consumption stands at 12.8l / 100km (22.1 mpg UK / 16 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 292 g/km. The model will be offered for sale from 160,200 GBP.
