The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the i20 Active during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a premiere.
The newest model put together by Hyundai is called the i20 Active and it has been officially presented to the public at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This is said to be the smallest high-riding vehicle in the company’s lineup and it is basically offered in a five-door hatchback body style, being equipped with some plastic body cladding, with the front and rear skid plates and with the roof rails, amongst others.
Thanks to these changes, we can see some similarities with its larger brothers, the Tucson and the Santa Fe, and if these don’t really suit your needs, than probably the i20 Active is what you have been looking for. If you were hoping for an all-wheel drive system, you will be disappointed because none is available as the vehicle is only being offered with front-wheel drive. However, it won’t be that difficult to take it near a road considering the fact that it has a pretty good ride height.
Under the hood, the new Hyundai i20 Active is making use of a 1.0 liter three-cylinder gasoline burner. This is being offered in two versions, with either 100 HP (74 kW) or with 120 HP (88 kW) and it will be offered in the near future on the 3-door and 5-door versions of the regular i20 as well. The i20 Active is going to be offered for sale in Europe next year but no pricing info has been disclosed so far.
