The first ever SUV produced by Jaguar, the F-Pace, has made its public debut recently, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Jaguar F-Pace has been teased over the past few months and it has been caught on camera while being tested out in different environments across the globe but all of those actions have come to an end as the company has officially pulled the wraps off its body, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere. The performance crossover is an evolution of the C-X17 Concept and it is bringing a similar exterior design.
The vehicle is riding on the aluminum intensive platform, which is being shared with the XE and XF sedans, and it stands at 4,731 mm in length, with a 2,874 mm long wheelbase and a trunk capacity of 650 liters. In the cabin we can find the 10.2-inch touch screen display as part of the infotainment system with a quad core processor, hot-spot WiFi, sat-nav, 12.3-inch instrument cluster with 3D mode and several other goodies.
Under its hood, the new Jaguar F-Pace is bringing the 2.0 liter diesel manual RWD / AWD 180 PS, along with the automatic AWD version of the same unit. The 2.0 liter petrol automatic with RWD is also found, with its 240 PS, along with the 3.0 liter diesel automatic AWD, producing 300 PS. The 3.0 liter petrol automatic with 380 PS is next in the lineup and this can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
In the 180 PS diesel rear-wheel drive version, the crossover is weighing 1,665 kg. Some of the goodies found on it include the 22-inch wheels, full LED headlights, Jaguar Activity Key which is shockproof and water proof and more. Six versions of the vehicle will become available, the Pure, Prestige, Portfolio, R-Sport, S and First Edition but no pricing details have been announced so far.
