Abarth and Yamaha have joined forces in order to create this 595 Factory Racing Edition.
The newest model to be signed by Abarth and presented at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is called the 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition and it has been developed with Yamaha. The vehicle in question is bringing the Record Monza exhaust system, the revised exterior design with the special badging, the 17-inch alloy wheels and several other goodies.
“Focus will also be on the new Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition, a special series springing from the prestigious partnership between the Scorpion brand and Team Movistar Yamaha. To make this car, Abarth and Yamaha joined forces and tuned it just like a racing motorbike focusing on engine power”, said Abarth in the press release.
The Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition is also bringing the BMC filter, suspensions and shock absorbers, a flat bottom steering wheel, aluminum pedals, leather seats and so on. Under its hood, we can find a 1.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This has been upgraded with another 20 HP and it is now producing a total of 160 HP. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the pocket rocket needs less than 7.9 seconds and it can go up to a top speed of 204 km/h (127 mph). Additional details on the small and powerful city cruiser are limited at this point and will probably be announced later on. Meanwhile, you can check it out in the photo gallery posted below.
