Brabus is a renowned name when it comes to modifying to the extreme limit models that are renowned for their comfort or urban aptitudes. Now it appears the tuner also wants some green fame and has decided to have a go at Tesla’s Model S electric limousine.
The German tuner has officially unveiled during the 2015 IAA Frankfurt motor show its program for the American electric car, with the Model S undergoing some “surgery” in terms of interior and exterior design – and the company has even added it would “expand continuously” this new endeavor. That means we’re in for some electric power enhancements in the near future in the usual direction – the sky is the limit. As far as the current modifications go, the exterior has received a new aerodynamic makeover with carbon fiber that is finished with a permanent high-gloss or matte protective coating and we see here nice amenities such as attachments for the side air-intakes, a front spoiler lip, a rear diffuser and a discreet boot lid spoiler. The alloys were changed for 21-inch that have Pirelli or Yokohama rubber and different sizes for front and rear.
In the cabin the tuner has added stainless-steel scuff plates that feature a backlit BRABUS logo that can change its color from white to blue, a modified lower part for the center stack coming with new storage spaces, as well as heated and cooler cup holders and a wireless smartphone charging port. The customer can also choose from a wide range of upholstery options, with the model at the stand featuring a mixture of black leather and Alcantara surfaces complete with blue stitching.
