The Aston Martin DB10 is the true automotive star of the upcoming James Bond action flick titled Spectre but let’s not forget that such an important franchise needs more than one automobile to attract and mesmerize its audience.
That’s a great opportunity for Jaguar Land Rover, which has seized the moment and delivered during the IAA Frankfurt motor show not one but three models that will be used in the upcoming blockbuster. Ahead of the actual world reveal during the auto show, Spectre cast members Naomie Harris and David Bautista attend a star-laden event, with Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations [SVO] and Jaguar and Land Rover Design being involved in the filmmaking process. Naomie Harris (Moneypenny) and David Bautista (Hinx) were special guests at the event held at the palatial Thurn und Taxis in Frankfurt where special stunt vehicles used in the movie were also showcased.
The Jaguar C-X75 will be driven by one of the antagonists, Hinx, played by David Bautista, with the supercar involved in a spectacular high speed chase on the streets of Rome – the vehicle was a team effort between Jaguar Land Rover’s SVO and Williams Advanced Engineering, from Oxfordshire, England.
Further on, in action packed sequences taking place in Austria we’ll see both the most powerful Land Rover ever created – the Range Rover Sport SVR – and specially modified Land Rover Defenders. The iconic Defenders were modified by the JLR Special Operations division and fitted with massive 37-inch diameter off-road tyres and new body protection pieces to handle the rough terrain of the snow-covered mountain roads used for filming.
