The Roadster version of the recently unveiled Lamborghini Aventador SV has made its public debut today, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
With that appealing design which we’ve seen a month ago, when it was shown online, the brand new Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is now taking the audience at the German automotive event by storm. This is its second public appearance after the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and its European premiere as well.
The new Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is coming with the same tweaks as its solid roof brother and, compared to the regular Aventador Roadster, it has lost 50 kg from its weight and added approximately 50 HP to its total output. The supercar is weighing 1,575 kg and it has a power to ratio of 2.1 kg / HP. It is making use of the same 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine which is producing a total of 750 HP (552 kW).
From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the exotic vehicle needs just 2.9 seconds and top speed stands at 350 km/h (217 mph). A cool feature has been added by the engineers and this is a power rear window which is allowing the sound of the V12 engine to infiltrate into the cabin. Its roof is basically made from a two-piece carbon fiber, each weighing less than 6 kg, manually removable. Lamborghini will be producing 500 examples of this supercar and deliveries will begin in early 2016. Prices will begin from 357,000 euros, without VAT, in Europe, and over-seas, this will start from 530,075 USD, MSRP.
