The brand new Renault Talisman has debuted at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in two body styles, sedan and estate.
The newest midsized vehicle produced by the French brand is called the Talisman and this is coming as a replacement for the Laguna and Latitude. The vehicle in question has been unveiled over the web a few months back and it is now making its public debut at the German automotive event in two versions, a four-door sedan and a five-door estate.
The brand new Renault Talisman has nothing in common in terms of looks with its predecessors and it is bringing superior fit and finish for both the exterior and the interior designs. The model has received the LED daytime running lights, the LED headlights offered as an option, a more spacious cabin and a large trunk capacity, 608 liters in size, which can be transformed into a massive 1,700 liters with the rear seats folded down.
The cabin of the car is also bringing a 4.2-inch display for the infotainment system but the more expensive variants are bringing the R-Link 2 infotainment system with a larger 8.7-inch display, along with a 13-speaker surround sound system which has been signed by Bose. The engine lineup of the two vehicles is being shared and it includes the TCe 150 and the TCe 200 turbocharged gasoline burners, added to the dCi 110, dCi 130 and dCi 160 HP. Transmission options include the six-speed manual and the optional EDC dual-clutch, available for the TCe 200 and the dCi 130, while the dCi 160 will get a six-speed dual-clutch. The new Renault Talisman will be offered for sale in Europe in the first half of 2016. No pricing details are known so far.
