The sub-compact crossover produced by Ford, the EcoSport, has recently received a facelifted version during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The Ford EcoSport may not be on the market that long to receive a facelift but the carmaker applied one to it and introduced it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question has received a spare wheel removal from the rear end, providing it with a much cleaner look, it is getting the Deep Impact Blue finish for the display car, black roof and side mirror caps, a rear diffuser, privacy glass, bespoke 17-inch wheels and several other tweaks.
Ford says that the facelifted version of the EcoSport is also coming in with some thicker sound deadening materials in the dashboard and in doors and with tighter seals around the pedals, providing it with lower noise, vibration and harshness. The handbrake has been relocated and we can notice the partial leather seats, the 4-inch color display, the Winter Pack adding the heated seats, side mirrors and windscreen and the rear seat ducting.
The 2016 Ford EcoSport is getting an optional rear mounted spare wheel, while the standard model is adding a tire mobility kit instead, the ride height has been reduced by 10 mm, the model is coming with optimized ESC and power steering and the rearview camera and satellite navigation systems will become available later this year. The entire engine lineup is now meeting the Euro 6.1 emission standards. No pricing details have been announced at this time.
