The compact MPV Hyundai ix20 has received a facelifted version during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Hyundai is present these days at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and after introducing models such as the i20 or the i30, time has come for the ix20 to receive a facelift too. The compact MPV is now brining a new hexagonal radiator grille, new projector headlights, a set of modified LED taillights and fresh 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin of the model is adding the optional heated steering wheel, the integrated My Music with 1 GB storage, the USB, AUX, Bluetooth connectivity, the new generation of the audio system with iPod connectivity and several other tweaks.
The 2016 Hyundai ix20 has a choice of two petrol and two diesel units, with the first ones carrying displacements of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, producing a total output of 90 HP (66 kW) and 125 HP (92 kW). The more powerful variant is coming with a new 6-speed automatic transmission which is replacing the old 4-speed automatic. The ix20 facelift will also get a diesel burner like the 1.4 liter unit with 77 HP (57 kW) or with 90 HP (66 kW), while the 1.6 liter engine has 115 HP (85 kW) or 128 HP (94 kW). Both diesel units are connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The model will be offered for sale soon but no pricing details have been announced at this time.
