The tuning specialists at ABT have just revised their program for the Audi RS6 Avant, in the nick of time to also present the work in front of the audience during the 2015 edition of the Geneva motor show.
Back in July of 2014 ABT’s specialists presented to the world their miracle work for the Audi RS6 Avant, lifting the V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine to a fancy 666 HP (490 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). Later on in October they felt they could do even more and showcased the findings: 700 HP (515 kW) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft). Now, a few months later, they again found the necessary tweaks to up the ante and the package’s third version has upgraded the power of the eight cylinder to an astonishing 730 HP (537 kW) and 920 Nm (678 lb-ft) – shaming the standard version that only delivers 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) as it leaves the Ingolstadt home base. “Mind you, the R stands for racy, not for rough or rude,” says ABT’s CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt: “As with the normal Audi RS6, ours also provides the utmost comfort, sumptuousness and usefulness, limited to 25 cars worldwide.“
Exclusivity wile b granted by the very limited production series of just 25 units and besides the power upgrades the R also comes with a full body kit, 22-inch alloy rims that sit on 295/25 ZR22 Dunlop tires and a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The highly performing wagon also gets a height-adjustable suspension kit and a bespoke arrangement in the interior, with new floor mats, a sports steering wheel complete with LED shifting lights and shift paddles and red carbon fiber amenities.
