The public debut of the brand new McLaren 675LT has been officially made during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The newest addition to the McLaren supercar lineup is called the 675LT and this has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere. The carmaker has already unveiled it just last week, over the web, but the model can now be seen up close at the Swiss automotive event, where it is currently on display.
The McLaren 675LT is a reminder of the F1 GTR Long Tail from 1997 and this is said to become available with a choice of four new exterior colors which include the Chicane Grey, the Delta Red, the Silica White or the Napier Green. Besides this, all supercars will also get the carbon fiber shelled bucket seats in the cabin, which have been wrapped in Alcantara, along with the 675LT logo on the headrests. Other goodies found on it include the air conditioning controls which have been incorporated in the touch screen infotainment system, the 675LT logo on the rev counter and so on.
McLaren says that the brand new 675LT is taking its power from the same 3.8 liter twin turbo engine which used to be found on the old MP4-12C, which is currently on the 650S and even on the P1 hypercar. The unit is now producing a total of 675 HP and it has a peak torque of 700 Nm, 25 HP and 22 Nm of torque more than the 650S. The 1,230 kg weighing supercar needs just 2.9s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) this needs 7.9 seconds. Top speed stands at 330 km/h (205 mph).
