After being teased several times over the past few weeks, the brand new Morgan Aero 8 is finally making its public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The fifth generation of the Morgan Aero 8 is keeping its classic style which should be appreciated by the fans of the British brand but it is adding a lot of mechanical upgrades, such as the aluminum chassis which has better torsional stiffness, the BMW sourced limited slip differential, the ABS with EBD, the anti-roll bars, the cruise control, airbags, power steering, revised handling and several other tweaks.
In the cabin we can find the new AC system added by Morgan, the textured box woven carpets, the fine leather trim, the authentic wood accents, the low-slung carbon seats, the optional touch screen infotainment system or the customization packages. These should be appreciated by the Morgan fans and the new Aero 8 is expected to become quite a hit.
Under its hood, the fifth generation of the model is taking its power from the same 4.8 liter naturally aspirated engine, signed by BMW< which is capable of producing a total output of 367 HP (273 kW). The unit can be connected to a 6-speed manual or to an automatic transmission, with paddle shifters. Production of the model will begin in the fourth quarter of this year and it will become available with an optional hardtop too. No pricing details have been announced at this time and will probably be made public once the model will hit the assembly line.
