The newest creation to be signed by Volkswagen is called the Sport Coupe Concept GTE and this has been officially presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The brand new Volkswagen Sport Coupe Concept GTE has been introduced recently in Geneva. The model in question has been described as a four-door high-tech coupe and it has been based on the MQB platform. This has a sleek design with an elongated hood, a sloping roof line, a new touch on the front fascia, dual exhaust tips incorporated into the rear bumper and several other tweaks.
The one-off vehicle stands at 4,869 mm in length, 1,864 mm in width and 1,407 mm in height, with 909 mm and 1,120 mm front and rear overhangs. The cargo capacity stands at 480 liters and the interior design of the model is getting the panoramic sliding sunroof, few conventional buttons and knobs as most have been replaced by a touch screen display and so on.
The Volkswagen Sport Coupe Concept GTE has a V6 TSI petrol burner under its hood which is backed up by two electric motors. The plug-in hybrid powertrain is producing a total output of 380 HP (279 kW) and it is allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). This can run on electric power alone for 50 km (31 miles) and it will burn an average of 2L / 100km in hybrid mode (141.2 mpg UK / 117.6 mpg US). The total range will stand at approximately 1,000 km (620 miles). This is said to provide us with a preview of the next Passat CC.
