2015 Geneva Motor Show: Mazda6 facelift image

The facelifted version of the Mazda6 has recently made its European debut during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

After being introduced in Los Angeles back in late 2014, the facelifted version of the Mazda6 is now getting ready to storm Europe, as the model in question has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This is still one of the best looking cars in the segments and the updates received are minor, including the revised front grille, the different headlights, the shark fin antenna, the new taillights, a revised color palette and a fresh set of 19-inch alloy wheels, with a two-tone finish, which should be enough to put some distance between it and the previous version.

The cabin of the 2016 Mazda6 is now packing in a new dashboard with a freestanding 7-inch display, there are improved seats, updated upholstery, a new center console, an electronic parking brake, reduced panel gaps, additional sound deadening material and so on. The Japanese based automaker Mazda is saying that the engine lineup has been carried over but in select markets, the optional all-wheel drive system will be offered too. Across the ocean, the model has a 2.5 liter SKYACTIV-G petrol burner under its hood, which is rated at 184 HP (137 kW) and 250 Nm (185 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 6-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission, with FWD. Rumor has it that a new range topping MPS / Mazdaspeed version should be introduced soon but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
