The five finalists for the 2015 Green Car of the Year award have been recently announced as the big winner will be known next month.
One of the models looking for the 2015 Green Car of the Year Award is the seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf which has the capability of being equipped with a 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline burner, with an all-electric motor or a TDI Clean Diesel Engine. Another model which is a candidate is the Honda Fit, with its 1.5 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, rated at 130 HP
(97 kW) and 154 Nm (114 lb-ft) of torque.
The third model to be a candidate in the 2015 Green Car of the Year award is the Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel, which can run on compressed natural gas or on gasoline, providing a maximum range of 500 miles. This is followed by the Audi A3 TDI, with its diesel 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder unit. Last but not least we have the BMW i3 plug-in hybrid, which is using an electric motor and a two-cylinder gasoline burner. The 2015 Green Car of the Year winner will be announced on the 20th of November, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
