A test mule of the brand new Honda NSX has been completely destroyed on the famous German track, the Nurburgring, after catching fire.
We have already spoken about the new Honda NSX on several occasions and after presenting you with the first spy shots of the test mule just a couple of days ago, the model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some new spy images. The photos posted below are showing the impressive sports car being driven fast on the Nurburgring only to end up in flames in what seems to be just another case of “spontaneous combustion”.
Judging by the way the rear end of the vehicle looks like, we can dare to say that the fire has started in the fire compartment and it has quickly expanded to the rest of its body. The good news is that the two people found in the cabin have managed to walked away unharmed, the bad news is that this can’t be said on the new NSX test mule too. Keep in mind that the new NSX will be a mid-engined 3.7L V6 powered supercar, with approximately 600 HP, which will rival the Ferrari 458 Italia, the McLaren 650S or the Lamborghini Huracan, so if you feel that this isn’t a real supercar because it is wearing the Honda badges on its body, don’t worry, because it sure burns like one.
